Jessica Litwak
Playwright, Performer: Miri, Aviva
Litwak is a U.S. based playwright, actor, coach, drama therapist, puppet builder, and recognized leader in the field of socially engaged theatre. Her plays have been produced Off-Broadway and on stages across the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. Her work has been published by Amazon, No Passport Press, Smith and Krause and The New York Times. She has performed on stages around the world and has served as faculty at academic institutions in the U.S., India, and the Czeck Republic. She has an MFA in theatre and a PhD in theatre as a vehicle for personal and social change. She is a core member of Theatre Without Borders and a Fulbright Scholar.
Jessica founded The H.E.A.T. Collective in order to coalesce her practice and workshops, events, and productions that bring together the practices of Healing, Education, and Activism through Theatre. She serves as Artistic Director.
Jonathan Meth
Director
Jonathan, based in London, originally trained as a theatre director at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has worked as director, dramaturg, script editor, and lecturer. He has directed over 20 UK productions at Soho Theatre, The Kings Head, Bristol Old Vic Studio, in Oxford & Norwich; on postgraduate courses at the University of East Anglia and Central School of Speech & Drama. He was Director of Writernet, previously New Playwrights Trust and Executive Director at Theatre Is. He is Artistic Associate at Az Theatre – and a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts. He Project Dramaturg on Crossing The Line and teaches at Goldsmiths, University of London.
Jonathan set up and continues to curate - The Fence an informal network for 250 playwrights and cultural operators from 50 countries, across Europe and beyond.
Fred Maâmar Fortas
Performer: Ishmael, Abu
Fred, based in Paris, was born in Algeria and grew up in Marseille, France. Some of his theatre work includes “Omar” at the London New Play Festival at The Riverside Studios, Hammersmith. This was “Jitterbug” at the Arcola Theatre “Marilyn & Ella, Backstage at The Mocambo” for BBC Radio 4 “She Twirls Pistols” at the Eurotopiques Festival in Lille, France. Other theatre projects include Shakespeare “All’s Well That Ends Well” (Theatre Nord-Ouest, Paris) and an adaptation of Brecht’s “The Exception and The Rule”. Fred is fluent French, English, German and Arabic.
Rosalind Parker
Creative Associate and Interfaith Consultant
Rosalind is a London based opera director and vocal coach and researcher in inter-faith and the arts, engaging in research-praxis around the uses of public space to explore religion with non-religious, andculturally and religiously diverse audiences. Her work embraces the encounter between text, scenographic handling of space, and the embodied nature of the voice.
Adrian D. Cameron
Video Editor/ Media Artist
Adrian is a Brooklyn-based theater/performance/media artist and technologist, who studiet at Brooklyn College’s Performance & Interactive Media Arts MFA program. He was a freelance director in New York City and Seattle where, as the Founder/Bureau Chief of Irrational Robot Bureau, he presented numerous original experimental theater productions. His recent work explores the intersection of performance and technology.
Lazhar Ghozlane
Composer and Oud Player
Based in Paris and born in Algiers, Lazhar was one of the soloists of El Mawsili ensemble music Andalus of Paris. He founded the Alhambra Ensemble of Arab Andalus music and recorded the Zidan Nuba. He also combines Arab Andalus music, blues and jazz and recorded Casbah blues. He is currently working on a new album mixing all these influences.

The H.E.A.T. Collective produces workshops, events, and productions that bring together the practices of Healing, Education, and Activism through Theatre. She has worked extensively in Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq, Turkey, India, and throughout Central, Eastern, and Western Europe. Litwak is a trained practitioner of Playback, Psychodrama, and Theatre of the Oppressed.
The Fence is an international network for working playwrights and people who make playwriting happen - across Europe and beyond.
As of May 2023, the network comprises 263 members from 57 countries.
Az Theatre uses Performing Arts inspiring activism through research, development and production projects based on international and local partnerships.
